of Nantong city is water. With total area of 8001 squaremeters, situated besides
sea and the Changjiang River, the whole citycomes with the features of natural

濠河作为一条国内保留最为完整、有着1048年历史且位居城市中心的古护城河，构成了南通中心城市水抱城、城抱水，城水一体的水域风貌。
Hao
River as a only the most complete river reserved in our country, has a historyof
1048 years and is the city moat lying in the center of the city to have formed
thewater scene of the water embracing the city and the city embracing the water
as wellas the city and the water in one body in the core of Nantong
city.
濠河全长10公里，呈宝葫芦状，其河道弯曲迂回，宽窄有序，环抱市区，最宽处215米，最窄处仅10米。
With
10 kilometers long, Hao River appears the shape of a treasured
gourd.Her watercourse is zigzag and detoured with wide and narrow places inorder
to embrace the city proper. Her widest place is 215 meters while hernarrowest
place is only 10 meters.
